Meet Suzanne

Plant Wise Kitchen, based in Malden, Massachusetts, is my plant-based cooking and lifestyle coaching practice, dedicated to helping people discover the joy of nourishing their bodies through delicious food and sustainable, healthy habits.

I am a certified plant-based nutrition educator, culinary instructor, health and wellness coach, and food safety professional. My work is shaped by both professional training and personal experience, which have deepened my understanding of how food choices and everyday habits can influence our health and quality of life.

My Story

My journey toward plant-based living began with personal health challenges, including high blood pressure, borderline high cholesterol, and pre-diabetes, along with the painful loss of close family members to chronic illness. These experiences inspired me to take a closer look at the connection between food, lifestyle, and overall well-being. I began exploring whole-food, plant-based nutrition and discovered a new sense of purpose in learning how everyday food choices can support a healthier lifestyle. Motivated by this personal transformation, I pursued education and training in plant-based nutrition, cooking, health and wellness coaching, and food safety.

How My Kitchen Became a Class

In my early sixties I reached a turning point and said, "No, not me." I began experimenting with beans, whole grains, vegetables, and herbs, determined to keep comfort and flavor on my plate. As my numbers and energy improved, I completed two plant-based nutrition and lifestyle coaching certifications. My home kitchen became a classroom where I now teach simple, satisfying recipes that support heart health and everyday wellbeing.

My Approach And Values

I create a judgment-free space for beginners, on-again or off-again vegans, and midlife adults who feel nervous about change. I focus on small, realistic steps that fit your real life, like learning a few go-to dinners or building a weekly meal rhythm. Every class and coaching session centers on kindness, practical skills, and evidence-informed guidance so you can build habits that last.

Training And Credentials

I completed plant-based nutrition training, a culinary instructor qualification, a health and wellness coach certification, and food safety certification, and I maintain liability insurance. This blend of education and lived experience means you receive guidance that is practical, safe, and grounded in current evidence, not trends.

How I Support You

My work is built on respect, encouragement, and accessibility. Some clients join me locally for Food for Life classes or small-group workshops, while others connect online for private coaching. I help you move at a pace that feels doable. If you feel curious but hesitant, a free consultation is a comfortable place to start.
